Overlooking the village of Saint Martin de Belleville, the Cochet Via Ferrata offers a true vertical adventure for climbers with some prior via ferrata experience. Built on the east-facing quartzite cliffs, this intermediate-level via ferrata provides a physically demanding and immersive route in the heart of a protected environment.
A Complete Route to the Summit
The route consists of two long climbs separated by an exposed traverse, with sustained vertical sections: thrilling sensations guaranteed. Throughout the route, the wild beauty of the site is striking: it's not uncommon to spot chamois.
The arrival point is directly at the summit of Cochet (2023 m), near the Croix des Prisonniers (Prisoners' Cross). From there, you'll enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of the Belleville Valley and the surrounding peaks.
