One Day Up ThereA Day Up High – A Day Hike in the Most Beautiful Wild Spots of the Valley
Want to breathe in the fresh mountain air? This day hike takes you to the most authentic and unspoiled corners of the Belleville Valley. Far from the beaten track, set off with a local guide to discover wild landscapes, panoramic ridges, and secluded valleys.
Depending on the week and conditions, several destinations are offered:
• La Croix Jean-Claude, a viewpoint between Belleville and Méribel, for a day exploring ridges and alpine pastures.
• The Encombres Valley, a true haven of nature with its high-altitude hamlets, streams, and remote atmosphere.
• The Heights of Saint-Jean-de-Belleville, for an immersion in the rural and pastoral history of the valley.
Along the way, the guide will share their knowledge of the local wildlife, flora, history, and geology. A hike at your own pace, where the pleasure of walking combines with the beauty of the scenery.
