Starry Night with Dinner in a Mountain Hut
Experience a unique evening in the mountains with this night hike exploring the starry skies of the Belleville Valley.
Accompanied by a mountain guide passionate about astronomy, set off in the late afternoon for an easy walk, accessible to all, far from the hustle and bustle and light pollution.
The highlight of this outing: a convivial dinner in a mountain hut. Around a welcoming table, savor homemade dishes prepared with local and seasonal products. A moment of sharing in all its simplicity.
In the hut, the menu is set for all guests. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when registering.
Once night falls, prepare to be captivated by the magic of the night sky. With the help of your guide, you will learn to recognize the main constellations, planets, and stars visible to the naked eye or with binoculars. Hear celestial legends and immerse yourself in the silent immensity of the alpine night.
The descent then takes place by starlight, moonlight, or headlamps (provided). A gentle and unforgettable experience, combining hiking, astronomy, and immersion in nature.
Our partner mountain huts for a starry evening: Depending on conditions, the group's level, and availability, the evening may take place in various mountain huts in the valley, all warm and traditional:
- The Refuge du Lac du Lou: an iconic location on the shores of a high-altitude lake, perfect for a magical evening under the stars in a peaceful and wild setting. - The Danchet Refuge: nestled on a mountainside, with an unobstructed view of the valley, ideal for peaceful stargazing.
- The Gittamelon Refuge: rustic and authentic atmosphere in a timeless, secluded hamlet.
- The Plan de Lombardie Refuge: easily accessible, it offers a wide view of the sky and a warm, family welcome.
- The Téton Refuge: wilder and more isolated, it promises total immersion in nature and exceptional starry skies.
All these refuges share the same philosophy: conviviality, home cooking, and authentic mountain living.
