At dawn, the mountain gently awakens. Silence still reigns, the air is fresh, the light is low… it’s the perfect time to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
This early morning outing offers a true immersion into the discreet daily lives of mountain animals. Accompanied by a passionate Mountain Guide, set off in search of marmots emerging from their burrows, chamois active on the ridges, or eagles taking flight. Binoculars in hand, you’ll learn to spot signs of their presence, identify different species, and understand their behavior.
A wonderful sensory experience, combining observation, listening, and contemplation. Ideal for nature lovers and those who appreciate beautiful light,
A morning effort not to be underestimated
Even though this outing ends around midday, its very early start means a pace similar to that of a full-day hike. The early wake-up, the physical exertion, and the elevation gain require a reasonable level of fitness. Consider packing a picnic breakfast to enjoy a break in nature and recharge while watching the sunrise.
And to explore further… The Belleville Valley offers several other hikes focused on wildlife. For example, you can go chamois spotting with the Chamois in Sight outing or explore ibex territory with the In the Kingdom of the Ibex hike. Unique opportunities to get close to the large alpine wildlife without disturbing it.
