Introduction to hydrospeeding on the Isère river

A hydrospeed descent (whitewater swimming) is a pure moment of exhilaration and adrenaline! Get in direct contact with the current, feel its power, and play with the river, its waves, and its rapids.
To participate in hydrospeeding, it is mandatory to know how to swim with fins and to be very comfortable in the water. This 7 km descent is our "Introduction" course and is ideal if you have never tried whitewater swimming before.
After the guides' briefing, it's off for a 7 km descent: the first, relatively calm section is a good warm-up and allows everyone to feel comfortable and understand how to use fins to propel themselves and steer the float.
After passing through the Gorges de la Pucelle with its vertical cliffs, you'll enter the Centron Rapids (2 kilometers of Class IV rapids) where you'll experience the thrill of whitewater and put into practice all the techniques learned earlier in the course: surfing the waves, slaloming between the rocks, crossing the breakers, and more.
